Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Treatment with Medical Marijuana

Cannabis as a Treatment for Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)

Chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS) used to be RSD: CRPS is chronic arm or leg pain developing after injury, surgery, stroke or heart attack. The pain is out of proportion to the severity of the initial injury. It is uncommon and not clearly understood. Treatment is most effective when started early.

Cannabis is a recommended alternative form of treatment for CRPS. Cannabis can reduce pain, muscle tension and help with the stress and anxiety which is often a result of this very difficult condition.

If you or someone you know is suffering from chronic regional pain syndrome and think medical marijuana might help you, please contact Connecticut Cannabis to schedule an evaluation. We will evaluate your status and history with CRPS and help you understand what options are available for medicinal marijuana in Connecticut.
